Three-phase monitoring/protection relay for overvoltage, undervoltage, and asymmetry control

Phase protection relay with phase sequence control, asymmetry: 5% - 50% (adjustable), manufacturer TENSE (Turkey).

Phase protection relays are designed to protect three-phase electric motors from network disturbances related to phase sequence errors, voltage asymmetry, exceeding or lowering the permissible voltage level.

Voltage: 400 V-480 V AC (adjustable).

Undervoltage: 260 V-360 V AC (adjustable).

Asymmetry: 5% - 50% (adjustable)

Error response time: 1 s-30 s (adjustable)

Recovery time: 1 s - 30 s (adjustable)

Phase alternation control

General operating principles:

Under normal conditions:

If all phases are within permissible values and their order is correct, the relay is energized and the OUT LED lights up.

In case of high voltage (H) fault:

If the voltage on one or more phases exceeds the set value, the device waits for the set error response time (Err In), then "H" appears on the display, the relay switches off and the OUT LED does not light up.

If all voltages drop 5 V below the set limit, the device waits for the recovery time (Err OUT), then the relay switches on and the OUT LED lights up.

Low voltage error (L):

If the voltage on one or more phases drops below the set limit, the device waits for Err In, then "L" appears, the relay switches off and OUT lights up.

If the voltage rises 5 V above the threshold, the device waits for Err OUT, then the relay switches on.

Phase asymmetry error (Asa):

If the voltage difference between phases exceeds the set value, the device waits for Err In, then "ASy" is displayed, the relay switches off.

If the asymmetry decreases by 2% from the set threshold, the device waits for Err OUT, then the relay switches on.

Phase sequence error (pHs):

If the phase sequence is broken, the device waits for Err In, then "phs" is displayed, the relay switches off. When the correct sequence is restored, the device waits for Err OUT, after which the relay switches on.
