Control unit for single-phase submersible pump up to 4 kW, 150 V-270 V AC, 30 A, Tense Art.nr: MDK-03 Electrodes (liquid level sensors) are not included
Tense's new MDK-03 control unit is designed to protect single-phase submersible pumps from all possible problems that may arise during operation, including overvoltage and undervoltage, lack of water in the well or borehole, and pump overload. The built-in functions also allow monitoring the filling level of the reservoir, setting time delays for emergencies, monitoring overcurrents, and remotely switching the system on and off.
Technical information: Operating voltage: 150-270 VAC. Frequency: 50 Hz Current range: 1-30 A Power consumption: <6 W Liquid sensitivity: <50 kOhm Protection class: IP20 Operating temperature range: -20 °C to +55 °C Cable cross-section: 10 mm², electrodes up to 2.5 mm². Weight: 0.25 kg Installation altitude: below 2000 m
Controller operation principle
Before connecting the device, please read the "Important!" section. Connect the sensors and the pump phase wire to the device according to the wiring diagram provided in the datasheet, and then connect the power supply. Check that the factory settings of the device match your pump's operating parameters. If necessary, the following parameters can be changed:
(P1) - Maximum permissible voltage (230...270 V, factory setting 245 V)
(P2) - Maximum permissible current (1...20 A, factory setting 5 A)
(P3) - Minimum permissible voltage (150...210 V, factory setting 160 V)
(P4) - Minimum permissible current (1...20 A, factory setting 0 A)
(P5) - Fault response delay (0...850 s, factory setting 2 s)
(P6) - Automatic reset time after current fault (OFF...850 s, factory setting OFF)
(P7) - Start-up interval current multiplier (1...10, factory setting 3) (P8) - Start-up interval time (0...850 s, factory setting 10 s)
(P9) - Number of automatic current fault resets, after which the device goes into emergency mode and requires operator intervention (OFF....200, factory setting OFF).
(P10) - Upper sensor response delay time (longer delay means the pump switches on fewer times, extending its lifespan) (0....850 min, factory setting 0 s min)
(P11) - Indicates whether the electrodes are in water: if the value is less than 230, there is water (red indicator shows the upper electrode, yellow indicator shows the lower electrode).
(P12) - Programs the last state of the controller before shutdown into memory (0...1, factory setting 1)
After connecting to the power supply for the first time, the device waits for 4 seconds, then analyzes the network parameters and their correspondence to the set parameters, checks if there is water in the well, if there is space in the tank, and if the controller is in "START" mode (green "START" indicator is on), it switches on the control contacts and the upper green "pump" indicator lights up. The indicators show the current voltage and current values.
To enter this mode, press the START button.
To enter this mode, press the STOP button. In this mode, the device does not perform any adjustments and does not start the pump. Please also note that if you intend to use the level relay without a float sensor and remote switch, be sure to place jumpers on the "ON-OFF" and "FLATOR" terminals; otherwise, the controller will not work or will not work correctly.
Important!!! Read this section before connecting the device:
- The submersible pump controller must be connected according to the wiring diagram in the product datasheet.
- Make sure that the liquid pumped by the pump is not flammable or explosive.
- The temperature at the controller installation site must be above 0 °C.
- Never apply voltage to the controller inputs to connect a float sensor.
|
- Ensure that the pump casing is grounded, otherwise the pump controller may be damaged.
