Single-phase submersible pump controller, 140 V-280 V AC, 60 A, Tense

Art.nr: MDK-02

Electrodes (liquid level sensors) are not included.

This controller is designed to protect submersible borehole pumps from a variety of potential problems that can arise during operation, such as voltage and current fluctuations, water shortages in the borehole or well, and pump overload. Built-in functions also allow monitoring the reservoir fill level, setting time delays for emergencies, and adjusting surge currents.

Controller operation principle.

Before connecting the device, please read the "Important!" section. Connect the sensors and current transformer to the device according to the wiring diagram (Figure 1), and then connect to the mains. Check that the factory-set parameters match your pump's operating parameters. If necessary, the following parameters can be changed:

(P1) - maximum allowed voltage value

(P2) - maximum allowed current value

(P3) - minimum allowed voltage value

(P4) - minimum allowed current value

(P5) - fault response delay

(P6) - auto-reset time after current failure

(P7) - current coefficient (multiplier) for the startup interval.

(P8) - startup interval time

(P9) - number of current fault auto-resets, after which the device enters emergency mode and requires operator intervention.

(P10) - upper sensor response delay time (longer time - pump switches on fewer times - extends pump life)

After the first connection to the mains, the device waits for 4 seconds, then analyzes network parameters and their compliance with the set parameters, and checks for water in the well. It verifies if there is enough space in the well reservoir, and if the controller is in "START" mode (bottom green indicator illuminated), the control contacts switch on and the upper green "pump" indicator illuminates. The display shows current voltage and current values.

Press START to enter this mode.

Press STOP to enter this mode. In this mode, the device performs no regulation and does not start the pump.

Parameter settings:

Press the MENU button to enter the parameter settings menu. You will land on the first parameter page (P1). The upper display shows the parameter number, and the lower display shows the value of that parameter. You can change the parameter values by pressing the UP and DOWN buttons. Then, press the MENU button to save the selected value, or the RESET button to exit the menu. Note that pressing the RESET button will not save the parameter value displayed on the screen, but changes to previous parameters will be saved. If no button is pressed for 50 seconds, the device will exit the menu without saving the parameter value displayed on the screen.

Important!!! Read this section before connecting the device:

- The submersible pump control unit must be connected according to the wiring diagram in the product datasheet.

- Ensure that the liquid being pumped by the pump is not flammable or explosive.

- If a system with two level sensors is used, the inputs for the upper and middle sensors must be connected.

- The temperature at the controller installation location must be above 0 °C.

- Never apply voltage to the controller inputs to connect a float switch.

- Ensure that the pump casing is grounded, otherwise the pump controller may be damaged.
